February was a good month to be a PS Plus member, with BioShock: The Collection and The Sims 4 being free for members, as well as Firewall Zero Hour for those PlayStation VR users. And it looks like the benefits of being a PS Plus member are just going to keep on rolling.
PlayStation has announced that Shadow of the Colossus and Sonic Forces will be the free PS Plus games for March 2020.
Free PS Plus Games March 2020
Shadow of the Colossus
Shadow of the Colossus is widely considered to be one of the greatest video games of all-time, as well as a prime example of artistic expression in video games. A smash hit on the PlayStation 2, the PlayStation 4 version offers much-improved graphics as well as a smoother framerate (a common criticism of the original version of the game.)
The game has you playing as Wander, who must travel around a vast land to find and slay 16 of the colossi. The game is notable for featuring no other enemies than the colossi, and mixing action-adventure with puzzle elements. It’s absolutely worth giving a go to experience a historic moment in gaming.
Sonic Forces will be made available as well for those Sonic fanatics out there. Sonic Forces is a modern take on the classic platformer released to celebrate Sonic’s 25th anniversary.
The game received mixed reviews when it was first released; critics praised the graphics and the ability to create your own character, but were noticeably disappointed with some of the level design, as well as a myriad of technical issues.
Still, if you’re a Sonic fan, or just riding the high from the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, a free Sonic game will certainly do the trick.
Release Dates And More
PS Plus members will also be able to try out Predator: Hunting Grounds, an asymmetrical multiplayer shooting game, as part of a demo from March 27-29th. The Predator game developed by Epic Games is sure to be worth a go.
The February PS Plus games will be available until March 2nd, and Shadow of the Colossus and Sonic Forces will be available for PS Plus members starting on March 3rd.
