QuakeCon Offers Huge Sale On This Must-Play FPS Game

QuakeCon is happening on August 10th through August 12th, and Bethesda is offering a huge sale on some of their flagship games, as well as popular titles from id Software. These deals are available on Steam, PlayStation Store and the Nintendo eShop, as well as many of these games already being available on Game Pass.

Classic games like Quake and Wolfenstein, as well as major hits such as Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Dishonored 2 are being offered at a considerable discount, with some games being up to 85% off in some areas. One of the games on sale is a must-grab, being one of the greatest first-person shooters of all-time.

Players who are curious for a fast-paced, well-designed FPS title will need to snag Doom Eternal. Doom Eternal is the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2016 reboot of the franchise Doom, and it cranks the experience to near-absurdity.

Doom Eternal offers more weapons, movement options and a handful of new enemies to improve on the already extremely polished 2016 version of Doom. The game is fast-paced and requires constantly being aware of how many resources you have as well as which of your moves are in cooldown, but they do a great job of introducing all the mechanics so players are not overwhelmed.

With a campaign length of about 13-15 hours, this FPS title is relatively snappy. Doom Eternal is 75% off during the QuakeCon sale, which runs until August 16th. For a couple extra bucks, you can get the deluxe edition as well, which gives you both parts of The Ancient Gods DLC, which are two smaller campaigns to be played after the main story.

The Ancient Gods adds a new weapon, as well as a few new enemies to add an additional 6-8 hours of gameplay on top of the main campaign. For those craving more Doom Eternal, this is a steal.

While we highly recommend grabbing this landmark FPS game, it’s worth checking out the QuakeCon sale as a whole to see if there’s other games you want to get. There’s a lot of essential titles available for very reasonable prices.
