These Celebrities Make Cameos In ‘Death Stranding’

2063

With a star-studded cast featuring Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and Guillermo Del Toro, among others, Death Stranding has been a highly anticipated game since it’s announcement in 2016. Being Hideo Kojima’s first game since leaving Konami, it has received polarizing reviews from game outlets for its story and gameplay, although the performances of the cast have been highly praised.

Of course, it’s the little things that can take the experience just that little bit further, and the notable cameos in Death Stranding serve to do that. Check out some of the celebrities who make cameos as small characters in the game, as well as their locations in the game! SPOILERS AHEAD!

Celebrity Cameos in Death Stranding

Edgar Wright

The director of Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, and Baby Driver makes a cameo as a Bridges employee named Thomas Sunderland. He can be found at the Distribution Center south of Lake Knot City.

Jordan Vogt-Roberts

Jordan Vogt-Roberts rightfully makes a cameo as the Film Director located southeast of the Distribution Center south of Lake Knot City and northwest of the Junk Dealer. Vogt-Roberts is in the works to direct a Metal Gear Solid movie, with Kojima there to provide guidance. Vogt-Roberts has also directed films such as The Kings of Summer and Kong: Skull Island.

Geoff Keighley

Located on top of a rocky hill west of Capital Knot City, Geoff Keighley appears as a Ludens Fan. Keighley is most well-known for his journalism and hosting duties in the video game world, having hosted GameTrailers TV and g4tv.com, as well the only person to host The Game Awards since its inaugural show in 2014.

Conan O’Brien

He is very well hidden in a ravine southwest of the Distribution Center south of Lake Knot City (and his trademark hair is well hidden underneath an otter hat) but Conan O’Brien makes an appearance as the Wandering MC living with the Cosplayer in Death Stranding. On top of giving you a hilarious item to use in the game, O’Brien will then make several jokes and the host of Conan gets understandably bummed out when these jokes don’t make Sam Bridges even snicker.

There are plenty of other cameos as well; be sure to check out Death Stranding to see them all!
