This Mario Kart Video Is The Most Infuriating Thing Ever Made

Video games. It has the word “game” in it, so it’s supposed to be fun, right? Well, for the most part, that is often the case. Playing with friends or playing online can bring copious amounts of joy, as we’re all experiencing the wonders of video games together. However, some people take it too far. Some people are just downright evil.

There’s the base level annoyances: campers in first-person shooting games, zoners in fighting games. People who abuse the same tactics and try to win at all costs, sucking the fun out of the game.

Winning is a corruptive force in video games, which can lead to next-level acts of terror. I’m talking when someone steals your star on the last turn in Mario Party 2 and then sends your ass to the Koopa gulags where Bowser will ensure you never make it back. Those games hurt, but you know what you’re getting into when you start playing; Mario Party’s random elements giveth, and they taketh away.

But then there’s the final level of going too far in video games. One that transcends traditional sociopathy. One that can end friendships and create mortal enemies in the span of a second. One that will make you loosen the safety strap on your Wii Mote so you can hurl it into the skull of the monster that did it to you. Thankfully, for a long time, no one had ever gone that far.

Until it happened. In Mario Kart 8. Behold, one of the most spiteful, evil maneuvers ever pulled in gaming:
